This is a sketch of an Agrocybe mushroom that I found growing alongside my young Calendula plants in the garden. All I could see were the caps poking out. I thought that was quite sneaky and clever so I decided they deserved a drawing. Well done mushroom, well done 👏

These one off sketches are part of my initial design phase before I choose a subject to paint.

5x7” original graphite drawing on Canson Cold Press 140lb paper. Signed and dated on reverse. Fixed to prevent smudging. Ships in a protective photo sleeve, backed with foam core.
